Sunshine and warm temps is what this weekend consisted of and I loved every moment of it. It’s just something about being outside enjoying nature that instantly makes me happy. This weekend was filled with long walks on the trail with Bentley and running errands, both of which were very eventful. Bentley and I were greeted by a huge black dog while on the trail. He was loose and his owner was no where in sight. I initially began to panic and started to look for the nearest object to climb. I planned to climb on top of someones car, boat, mailbox…you name it I would have climbed it. (Although I’m a dog lover, I blame the panic on a past dog attack as a child.) Since there was nothing close enough for me to climb I began to pray and kept walking away from the dog. He followed us for a bit and then decided to turn back the other way. Bentley was oblivious to all of this.
While running errands on Saturday I realized I needed to go to Target. This would have been all fine and dandy if I hadn’t JUST gone on Friday. I love Target but some of the staff seem to be clocking the amount of times I go per week (insert eye roll here). I forced myself to go to Wal-Mart instead and quickly regretted it. I despise Wal-Mart. They didn’t have the item I was looking for and someones grandpa basically undressed me with his eyes while riding on his Hoveround. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. To Target I went and of course one of the cashiers stated, “I knew you were coming in here today.”
Outfit: V-Neck Tee// Navy High-waisted Skirt// Chuck Taylors// Crossbody (similar here)
For a Saturday full of errands I wanted to be super comfortable. I have basically been living in these oversized v-neck tees. They are so comfortable and effortless. I paired my tee with a navy blue high-waisted skirt and my tried-and-true Chucks. I threw on a cross body bag and was out the door.
My mom found this gold and cream sequined pillow at TJ Maxx and I just knew I had to have it. I’m not sure where I will put it just yet but it will easily fit in with my decor.
Sometimes you can find gems in stores like Ross just like this gold and rose gold Herring that I found for $20. I think I actually like it on the side of my fireplace.
