I have a confession to make. Not only was I a hair product junkie at one point in my life, but I was also a water bottle hoarder. Yes, I know you are probably judging me right now but it’s true. I had a serious problem. I could not go into a store like Target without going to their drinkware aisle to see what cool new bottle would catch my eye. BPA free and Eco friendly? Cute design? Glass with a rubber grip? Leak-proof lid just in case the toddler I don’t have decides to throw it out the window of a moving car? Toss. Them. All. In. The. Cart. I had so many water bottles that they soon began to consume my kitchen cabinet. The sad thing about all of this was the fact that I had close to 20 different water bottles and still did not drink enough water.

One day my friend Roderica recommended a reusable bottle called S’well (she also admitted her love for the drinkware aisle). I researched the brand, ordered my first bottle in August 2015 and my life changed forever. One of the main missions at S’well is to rid the world of plastic bottles. This is very important to me because I know plastic bottle waste is a very detrimental issue in the United States and all over the world. Even though I recycle, only about 40% of plastic bottles are put to better use. This means the remainder are tossed in the landfills which eventually threaten our ecosystem. No bueno. S’well is also an avid supporter of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF which helps provide clean drinking water to children around the world.

I fill my bottle with cold filtered water in the morning and I know it will still be cold at the end of a long day. (My friend Kelsey filled her bottle with ice one morning and was surprised to find her ice cubes unmelted at the end of the day.) S’well bottles do not condensate. This was a major plus for me because I often throw my water bottle in my purse or bag. With a S’well bottle you do not have to worry about your iPhone or important documents getting wet because your bottle will not sweat. Lastly, S’well bottles are basically fashion accessories that keep you hydrated. S’well has so many different designs, prints, and textures to choose from. I, of course opted for the champagne gold bottle but I have purchased several different designs for friends and family members. I literally carry my S’well bottle everywhere I go, everyday. I love the way it looks and I love the fact that I know my filtered water will be cold all day.
